Terms of Service

1. What PackLens is

PackLens (“the service”) analyzes videos of trading-card pack openings, identifies the cards it sees, and renders a price overlay into the video. The service is operated by Vibecade (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Service provided as-is, best effort

PackLens is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Scans run on shared capacity and are processed in the order received; the free tier in particular is provided on a best-effort basis, and at busy times your scan may wait in a queue or take longer than usual. We may change features, limits, and plan allowances (see Plans) at any time, and we may suspend or interrupt the service for maintenance or capacity reasons.

3. Prices and card identification

Card recognition and pricing are automated. Prices are market estimates drawn from daily price data and captured at the moment your scan runs, so treat them as accurate only within roughly 24 hours of the scan. Identifying the exact printing of a card (set and collector number) from video is inherently imprecise, and some variance is expected. Totals and per-card values are informational estimates only: they are not appraisals, offers to buy, or financial advice, and we are not liable for decisions made based on them.

4. Your content and model training

You keep all rights to the videos you upload. You grant us the license we need to operate the service: storing, processing, and rendering your footage, and displaying results to you and to anyone you share a result link with. To improve the service, we may review scans that fail or misidentify cards and use that footage, along with corrections you make in review, to train and evaluate our recognition models.

5. Acceptable use

  • Only upload footage you have the right to use.
  • Don't upload unlawful content or content unrelated to card scanning.
  • Don't circumvent plan limits, share accounts for that purpose, or otherwise abuse the queue or the API.

We may throttle, suspend, or close accounts that violate these terms.

6. Storage and retention

Uploaded and rendered videos on the free tier are stored temporarily and may be removed after processing; Pro storage is kept per the plan comparison. Result data (card lists and totals) is retained with your account. See the Privacy Policy for details and deletion requests.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, on the free tier, may be zero).

8. Fan content and attribution

PackLens is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. It is not approved or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. Magic: The Gathering, card names, and card images are © Wizards of the Coast LLC. Card data and images are provided courtesy of Scryfall; PackLens is not affiliated with Scryfall or Wizards of the Coast.
